Heath Farmer started his professional music career performing original music as a guitarist and vocalist at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA at the age of 16. Since then, the Orange County, CA native has composed and co-written songs for PBS, FOX Sports, CBS, VH1, TeenNick, USA Network, national marketing campaigns for Sprint and Sobe Drinks, and since 2015 has created, produced, and performed multiple live show productions in partnership with San Diego Zoo & Safari Park.
Farmer's original band, Island Apollo, was named "Best Alternative Artist" by the Production Music Association in 2019, and has generated millions of plays on Spotify and other streaming services. Farmer's other band, Nada Robot, premiered their debut single "Got it Good" in 2020 to critical acclaim, with Variance Magazine calling it "infectious" and with Buzzbands LA calling it "an audacious rocker with a menacing beat."
In 2018, Farmer earned his Master's Degree in Communications Management from the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism, where he spent time studying and refining his skills in relating complex themes and messages to audiences of varying mass, background, and demographics.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Farmer has temporarily shifted focus away from live productions to work on writing, producing, and recording a new full-length album for Island Apollo, a new EP for Nada Robot, and music for TV/film sync licensing. Farmer is excited to continue working on writing, recording, and producing, and to resume live music production operations as the pandemic wanes and crowds can safely enjoy live music again.
